Dogs…..wow, there are so many things to say about this subject.
Dogs are the best! Who will be there when no one else will? Who looks at you with the sweetest eyes and waggy tail every time you come home from work? Who likes to greet you at your car door or even your front door when you come home?
It’s your dog, right?
The thing that I love the most about dogs is that you know they will never leave you. They are so attached to you, that they will never leave your side. When you go to the store for 10 minutes and come back, they are so excited to see you, they act like you have been gone for a lifetime. They are so easily pleased and they will love you unconditionally. What more could you ask for?
Another cool thing about dogs is that they are able to help with people in need. Service dogs are amazing! They help so many different types of people with many different needs.
What are some things service dogs do that help them?
- Pulling wheelchairs
- Opening doors
- Turning on/off lights
- Calming people who have seizures
My dogs brighten my day just by looking at them! When I come home from work or even school, no matter how I look or feel, my dogs come to greet me at my car door. As soon as they see me pull into the driveway, they come running. They just are so excited to see that I am home. That is one of the highlights of their day, which happens to be one of mine as well.
No matter if I had a crappy day, I had I can always count on my dogs to make it better just by running out to my car to come and greet me. For those couple of seconds, I forget about how my day was, and I just think about how lucky I am to have my dogs.
They will love you unconditionally, they don’t care if you look like crap, don’t match, or even have two different shoes on. They see you as a person, not what you wear.
Even thought they can cost a lot of money… My little dog Harley was hit by an ATV, and we took him to an emergency vet (which cost over 100 dollars more, because they are an on-call vet) and he had to stay at the vet’s office for a good while. Needless to say, you can get a pretty hefty vet bill, but that little dog who makes my day so much better was worth paying the 500 dollar vet bill!
