11-year-old Carson Kropfl is a surfer from San Clemente, California. Carson’s parents think that he should pay for his surf contests or lessons on his own. Instead of doing chores to raise the money for his hobby, he decided to create a new skateboard product, which is called the Locker Board.
“I just wanted these to really fit in lockers, and it’s a board, so, Locker Board.” Carson started collecting old skateboards and sawing them down, sanding them out enough to be able to fit inside a locker or your book bag.
His goal is to sell 200 Locker Boards by Christmas at $89 each. He currently has 83 built.
Some skate shops in his area have given him old, unused boards. After just a few weeks, Carson has sold 25 boards worldwide.
