Thanksgiving will soon be upon us, and the staff of the Foley Lion’s Roar sat down to express their thanks for the many blessings they have.
I am thankful for my grandpa. He is such a great person, and he is always there for me when I need someone. I am also thankful for my maw maw; she is such a strong women, and she has taught me to keep going no matter what life throws my way.
I am thankful for the clean air that I am able to breathe on this day. In other countries, such as Bangladesh, they have to wear pollution masks each time they exit their homes. Clean air is a necessity in human life because it keeps not only the outside of your body clean, but the inside as well. So, once again I am thankful for the fresh air provided to me and my fellow citizens given by God.
One thing that I will always be thankful for is for my family. My family is very important to me. They have been there for me when none of my friends were. They will always be in my heart forever.
Being humble and thankful are two things I pride myself on. One thing I’m extremely appreciative of is my cat, Paisley. I rescued her from a wooded area around August, and she was malnourished as a small kitten. Now she wobbles when she walks, runs into doors and is in good health. She’s been my pride and joy since August, and I wouldn’t trade her for anything.
I am thankful for my family for always loving me and helping me get through high school. They have always pushed me to do better and to always focus on my work. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t have plans for college and my career in the future. They have always helped me get through all the rough spots in life, and for that, I am very thankful.
There are so many amazing things in my life that I would like to express my gratitude for. One thing I am thankful for is the close relationship I now have with my brother. My world was turned upside down when he left for college this fall, but our friendship is now better than ever. Also, I am very grateful for all the positive people in my life that make everyday better than the last. These things are so important to me, and I’m so lucky to have the life I do.
God is a very talented artist; he has created art so subtle and loud, with a mixture of soft, angry, and perfectly rugged edges. The air I breath and the family I have is everything I need to live this extraordinary life My Lord & Savior has bestowed upon me. Thanksgiving is the perfect opportunity to wake up and have the chance to tell the ones that mean the most that I love them, and I am so very thankful to be a part of their lives.
I am thankful for my family, my teachers, and my whole life in general. My family makes me smile everyday and always keeps me motivated. My teachers help me with tough work and makes everyday an adventure. These people have made me the person I am today and will keep helping me through my life.

I have a lot to be thankful for, but my friends and family make the top of the list. They’ve been with me through thick and thin, teaching me life lessons and shaping me into the person I’ve become. They’ve given me a wonderful life so far, and for that I’m eternally grateful.
We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
