The Air Force Junior ROTC instructors and cadets of Foley High School recently earned an overall unit assessment score of “Exceeds Standards,” which is the highest rating attainable, during their rated unit evaluation on April 26, 2016.
Colonel (retired) Scherry Douglas and MSgt (retired) Darell Howard created a dynamic and supportive learning environment coupled with an excellent community outreach. The instructors provided outstanding leadership in administering the cadet centered citizenship program. The Foley High School cadets performed exceptionally well and took great pride in leading and accomplishing their unit goals.
The Foley High School Air Force Junior ROTC citizenship program is making a positive impact on the cadets, the school, and community. As a result of the unit’s assessment rating and its positive impact on cadets and the community, FHS AF JROTC program earned the Distinguished Unit Award with Merit and both instructors received the Outstanding Instructor Award.
