Did you know you can earn college credits while you are in high school?
Faulkner State’s Accelerated High School Program allows students the opportunity to take college classes while they are still in high school. Thousands of students from the public school, private school, and home school settings have taken advantage of earning college credits in classrooms where they feel the personal connection.
Accelerated High School Student: Students are eligible for early admission into college through the Accelerated program if they meet all of the following requirements.
1.) Successfully complete the 10th grade
2.) Have a minimum cumulative “B” average
3.) Have a recommendation from the school administrator or administrator designee
Note: *College credit earned through the Accelerated High School program may not substitute for high school credit according to Alabama State Board policy.
Once you have enrolled in the program, you may enroll only in courses in which prerequisites have been completed. For example, if you wish to take Pre-Calculus, you must have a minimum ACT composite score of 18 or higher and must have taken Algebra 2 and passed with a “C” or higher.
