Did you know teens have higher crash rates than drivers of any other age group?
Driver’s Education is class that helps you learn the rules of the road and how to apply them, as you may already know. The class is devoted to keeping you and other drivers safe. It is a core credit that you must have to graduate in the State of Alabama; it really is an important class. I had asked one of the Driver’s Ed. teachers what is one of the most important things we learn in class. Coach Watson replied, “Hopefully how to be a safer driver. I mean, that is the ultimate goal, and how to interact with other highway transportation users in a safe manner.” Honestly I don’t think it could have been said any better.
Some students may be afraid or uninterested in attending this course, but this is a subject that should be thoroughly taught to students, as it has been for years. The teachers in this class care that this information is pushed to the forefront of education, (with other courses as well) because the safety of you and other drivers on the road is extremely important. I think that every citizen of Alabama should have the right to take this class in school.
At the end of it all, you will be glad to have been in this course. The pay off is great if you pay attention and remember to use what you learned in class on the road. Driving can be dangerous, but if you know the proper procedures to keep yourself safe, then you’ll know what to do when you need it.
