Have you ever heard of HOSA?
HOSA is a student run organization that focuses on the development of education in the medical field and deals with future health care opportunities. Essentially, it means that HOSA is an organization of students dedicated in the health and medical field.
Mrs. Luker, a teacher at Foley High, is HOSA’s faculty advisor. She teaches Foundations of Medical Science classes. Mrs. Luker is a licensed nurse and worked in the a hospital trauma unit for 10 years.
Students in the program can intern at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. In the past, students have also participated in the high school blood drive.
